The hours and hours of applying pigment, determining its placement, composition and push/pull of light and dark can be wearying and sometimes discouraging. But setting a trajectory of thankfulness helps me to find an outpouring of good, true and beautiful, in the midst of what is shiny or tarnished, dark and unknown, raining, storming or flowing, or perhaps stagnant and waiting.
